Just Once

In my bed listening to Jules sing his lungs out Dazing out of my bedroom window at the clear, clear skies And I realize that I'm just another spec in the universe I think of those deathly stories of coming back to life Those beautiful things they saw and felt just for those few minutes Somehow, for some reason I felt as if I knew Exactly what they meant, although I haven't been there We measure time by the natural ability of our world And the sun's mesmorizing, spinning light We never stop to think about our worth; it's worth It'd be nice, if so, 'cause we would get what we want Yet, here we are: fighting, winning, losing, learning, meeting Or laying in out bedrooms just pondering, "If only, if only"
