Just Needing Time

The night was warm and breezy And I needed some time alone So I sat on a rock from the hillside Giving my thoughts the freedom to roam The stars twinkled across the sky Along with the moon shining bright I took in the sweet smell of evening And was thoroughly enjoying this night My roaming thoughts settled on you The reason I needed some time You swore undying love for me The love you offered would be all mine But I saw you with another And to her you swore your undying love So when you offered the same to me I needed answers from up above This love you offered so freely Has heartache all spelled out I am looking for true honest love Something you clearly know nothing about So my thoughts are settled tonight As the warm breeze caresses my hair I have found the answers I seek With the moon and the stars everywhere Now my roaming thoughts are quiet As I take in this glorious night The stars twinkle across the sky Along with the moon shining bright.
