Just Like Me
If in fact we are the same,
then there really is no one to blame.
You are like me,
I am like you.
We are as one,
just made up of two.
Inside of you,
I can see myself.
All my imperfections,
like a crowded shelf.
A reflection in the mirror,
a likeness of the past.
Awaken one morning,
to time flown too fast.
Real love’s touch,
seen only at a glance.
Once in a lifetime,
wish it could be a neverending dance.
All sorts of emotions,
thoughts entangled in your head.
Try to get some of it on paper,
before you go to bed.
This poem I wrote,
has no particular decree.
But I suppose if you got something from it,
then in fact you are, just like me.
