Just For Me

Once drifting through chasms of infinite space surrounded by people who'd turn from my face, a cosmic collision to dawn a new day when I suddenly noticed you glancing my way. Someone who listens to all that I say, understands how I feel, and thinks the same way. The perfect companion who's come from afar. We've walked our own paths guided by the same star. The years I've spent searching were futile at best. I just couldn't find you among all the rest. The road made me weary and question its cause. Will anyone ever see more than my flaws? Accepting a lifetime denied of the chance of finding true love or a magic romance was stomping the grapes for another to dine, forsaking my chance for a taste of the wine. So long I had waited and prayed for a chance to reach for your hand should you asked me to dance. You're making my life all I dreamed it could be, you are the one who was made just for me. -Jeannie Minor
