There are times when each of us for reasons must pause,
we need a time out and a short reprieve;
perhaps to care for health or life,
need a little distance.
Some space to contemplate, ponder, separate, think;
a lull for just a short passage of time.
It is fine to take a break and come back sublime,
nothing wrong with a place to rest your ink;
we cannot write with resistance;
sometimes, life is all strife.
Maybe, you need tranquility for thoughts to weave;
could it be you are in a state of blahs.
Dwelling in deep darkness and seeing only flaws,
this is not you and quickly you must leave;
though we feel stabbed with a sharp knife,
just make an appearance.
Take a deep, deep breath, not the time to sink or blink;
and in quietus pen poems in rhyme.
