Juliet's Waiting
Romeo was waiting;
I was still getting dressed.
He softly whispered my name,
and my face felt so red.
He called my name again,
and I think I fell to the floor.
As I finished getting dressed,
I raced to the door.
When we met in the field,
Oh how my heart raced!
We kissed so warmly,
and he held me gently.
A while later,
the dawn was rising.
We had to go
for our family was fighting.
I sit here alone,
smiling on the outside,
Yet, dying within.
My tears will fall
until we meet again.
