Julian
This is the story of my son.
Unraveled lives have just begun.
Fear of sleep the nightmares call.
The scary shadow on the wall.
A phase it's not, I wish it was.
A gift of insight gain applause.
I have it too; I passed it down.
A genetic trait to which he's bound.
I hope he learns to apply it well.
I'll hand him the tools, but duration will tell.
You may imagine that I am insane.
Time will heal the pain.
I understand the doubt and fear.
This act of nature that we adhere.
Some say it's science so they can deal.
Whatever it takes to induce it's will.
I believe - it's in the mind.
If you're prone, this you too will find.
He's young now and nothings planned.
I'll be there to guide his hand.
