Judgment's Way
He trembles as he listens, contemplates
The words the expert witness testifies
He knows that judgment in his hands awaits
Determine innocence or guilt, he tries
Retires to his chambers, down to work
To analyze the case, to rule correct
Responsibility, he does not shirk
Though TRUTH he finds incredibly complex
Imagine now the WORLD you had to judge
All creatures everywhere and for all time
And do it all in fairness, without grudge
A superhuman task -- for One Sublime
They call the Scales of Justice, 'Lady Blind'
Yet MERCY's name is God for He is KIND
