Joy For Today

I woke up this morning, Snow on the ground, The sunrise glowing in the horizon, It’s another day. I wish I could sleep the day away, But this is life and I must awake. Lord, I pray today, Come into my heart. Today I want to feel joy. Lord, I ask thee today, Free my mind of thoughts of tomorrow, Free my mind of the things of yesterday. Guide me that I may see Your glory. Let there be peace in my mind, Clear my mind of distress and worry. Let there be love in my heart, Remove all the bitterness and guilt. Today Lord, may my mind see your grace. May my heart feel Your love, May my life be filled with Your presence. Lord I wish to feel joy, if only for today. ~AMEN~
