Joy

Facing away but still close all the same, Sleeping so sound, you would think she was tame. Tracing her shoulders with a gentle stroke, How does she love me and is this a joke? Under the bed sheets that drape all her curves, You cannot see how she gets on my nerves. Her body so calm and still in her sleep, Marvel her allure that makes grown men weep. Her tiny peach fuzz reflects off the light, Glow of her skin is a luminous sight, Vibrant blue hair halos around her head, Look how my love is asleep in our bed. And though we do bicker, squabble, and fight, Oh, I do love her with all of my might. —————————— (A tribute to Joy; Who despite her name, is always bickering with me. I love you, and please do not ever change.) Date: May 2, 2019
