Josie
“Josie”
Dear lifelong friend that time has taken,
Missed will be the smile you had for all.
From earthly sleep to a Heaven’s awaken,
A merciful God heard our prayerful call.
We’ll try to dwell on each good thing,
Recalling some from our youthful days.
As we deal once more with death’s sting,
We remember, your always, patriotic ways.
Our sad thoughts of you we cannot divert,
Though we know you’re in a better place.
However, today we weep, because we hurt,
And already we miss your smiling face.
Good bye dear friend
