John, the Revelators Vision

Based on Revelation 13:1-7 I saw a beast rise out of the sea It had ten horns and seven heads; Ten crowns on each horn; Ten nations the world to dread. This beast resembled a leopard But had the feet of a bear A mouth like that of a lion Dragon’s power and throne to share The whole world was astonished As they followed the dragon and the beast Uttering proud words and blasphemies To all who partook of the feast— The feast of bread and the wine Offered up to a foreign god The beast was given great authority All the earth can hear the applaud The whole world’s inhabitants Will bow down and worship this power For their names are not found In the Book of Life at that hour For those who are faithful— These will be trying days They’ll be martyred or jailed For observing God’s ways God didn’t promise the saints a picnic In the days of Jacob’s trouble Death will be a blessing— Eternal life with it coupled A sacrifice of martyrs Just as in the days of old Willingly dying for their Savior For no other power they behold When their Savior appears in the clouds They’ll be clothed with garments white Awoken from death’s sleep They’ll see their King come into sight There’ll be such great rejoicing As never was before Satan will be bound Christ, our King forever more!
