Jimmie Christmas Gifts

December 24, 2015 There was a boy called Jimmie who was writing his letter to Santa Claus. The list of the gifts was very lengthy. It included a control remote car, a baseball bat, clothes and a trip to a famous thematic park. He finished the list and put it under the pine tree. Christmas Eve dinner was going to be served his mother Lilliam. The dinner consisted of ham, green beans casserole, potato salad, cranberry sauce, apple pie and eggnog. Frank, Jimmie's father, was lighting the chimney. It was very cold outside. Jimmie family sat at the table to eat the dinner. Later, they cleared the table and sat near the chimney to drink chocolate with marshmallows. Jimmie told to his fathers the things he asked to Santa Claus. Frank told Jimmie that are gifts that are not tangible, but are more valuable than material gifts. Meanwhile, at the mall center of the city, there was a frantic shopping spree for buying the latest gadgets and toys for Christmas Day. There was a line of children at the atrium of the mall center waiting to be photographed with Santa Claus. From dolls, bicycles and toys were the gifts requested. Santa Claus heard with patience all the lists he received during the day until the mall closed its doors to the public. Jimmie went to bed after prayed his night prayers. He was very happy that next morning would be Christmas. Although, he remembered that the reason for the season was the birth of Jesus. It was 10:00 p.m. He will wake up very early in the morning to take breakfast and later check out the gifts he would find under the Christmas tree. He dreamed with the toys he requested to Santa Claus. Christmas morning arrived. Jimmie went down stairs to the kitchen. Lilliam already had prepared breakfast to Frank and Jimmie. After eating breakfast, Jimmie went to the pine tree to open the gifts. He found the baseball bat with a ball and cap, clothes, the control remote car and candies. There was another box that said to Jimmie from Santa. Jimmie was intrigued with the contents of that unexpected box. Jimmie opened the box. It has a note that says: Dear Jimmie, I brought you all the gifts you requested, but I want to let you know that are some things more precious in life that although not are visible to the human eyes, are invaluable. For example the love of family and friends, honesty, compassion and empathy. Jimmie cried with tears of joy. He learned the lesson enclosed.
