Jesus Is a King
Jesus is a King.
When parents fetch home their baby
Be it a girl or be it a boy
From that moment the child arrives
It is the parents pride and joy.
The camera’s are out, the photos flow
From bath time, to first little nose blow.
Naked babies, shots for all
The parents always have a ball.
The child grows up and brings home partners
The photographs come out,
The embarrassment caused for the subject
It often leaves us in no doubt.
Jesus was born of an earthly mother
His father and God had sent him
A job that was so important to do
And so his father God had lent him.
He needed Mary to give birth
So the boy would be accepted
But his birth was not important
That is why it was not scripted.
Jesus had to grow and be a man to fulfil the prophecy
His mother Mary watched over him almost anxiously.
He had to be a man willing to lose his life
Not a baby cuddled and watched over for the rest of his life.
He fulfilled his fathers wish and he is a King ruling in heaven
Don’t get the pictures out to embarrass him, under the age of seven.
He was a man, he is a King, we should be grateful for what he did
Because this King who rules the heavens, gave us the chance to live.
So picture this great King, not a baby swaddled and cute
He is ruling legions of angles not lying in his birthday suit.
