Jessie James was shot in the back by a trusted friend, Robert Ford on April 3, 1882 for the reward offered for his capture dead or alive.

Jessie James Made it big as a wild west tough guy, And when he came to town folks would hide. He hung up his guns saying this life ain't fun, And at the hand of a friend Jessie died.

I enjoyed this. In the old days, JUdy, I would sponsor clerihew contests. They are so fun to read. I liked your hide / died rhyming lines.

Thanks so much Andrea. Clerihews are fun to do but this one had too many lines and turned into more of a limerick. Glad you liked it. God Bless, JB
