Jealousy

And as I dreamnt something wonderous; profoundly emdedded inside of my heart! It somehow came to seem, as the day of reality began to unfold.... Romeo and Juliets forbidden love, of never meant to hold? This, deeper than the deepest of all, perhaps, that has ever been known Destroyed by a jealous enemy one day; pretending to portray more, than they may ever truly be! Revealing, the shadows of their many faces, which, were never real at all This child inside an adult, exposed; from the truth of their being These glimpses along the way, that were but preludes to this day When friendship was crushed; along with trust and faith.... Never to be repaired; not entirely; to the one in which it concerned? Oh jealousy, what a sharpened dagger you truly are! Grounded amid the shifting dunes; and fluttering, within these tearful winds that blow Fragile roots, which never fully extended, into the soiled depths wherein they bed To turn upon a beautiful light, for ones amissful and self-absorbing reasons!? Selfish to the core; at the expense of anothers wishful and hopeful dreams.... I have no bitter reproach to say although; no judgments upon yourself shall I cast But sympathies I do stretch forth; for the lost it seems, of your very own soul Which is willing to take this priceless pearl; with its tender and loving kindness.... And hurl, it into the flames of your hurtful and blinding fire Speaking volumes of where you are now; within such a saddened and somber way?! But time as I have said afore, shall forever reveal its many tales And yes, we all shall reap, these moments of which we have sown.... For there is no escaping within the end, that final, and ever manifesting mirror! Of gentle treasures that once were robbed; precious dreams, that once were stole? As turning ones back upon; to step on, their beautiful worlds; while, as you spit your words! Yes, you do have my sympathy; within the most sincere, and profound, of ways.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jealousy

Hi Mr. Rhimen My uncle told me to read the good poets on this site. I'm eleven and just started writing poems. I'm not that great. Loved this poem. It made me cry. I don't know why but I cried. Love & hugs, Amber.

darkness has a way of putting fear in a mans heart. and this was that kind of darkness John was encountering. nothing can be seen inside or outside the car. and darkness like a chill creept into the car and felt his arm like a growing disease it spread accross his body and griped his darkest fears into frozen shock.

feelings of hopelessness comes over him as he turns the key of his 67 oldsmobile as the lights dim and turnning of the motor dies down to nothingness. he waits and still nothing from the old car on it's last leg. he fall asleep to be awakened by something violently shaking the car. he look's around but see's nothing. a strong wind he says and falls to sleep. only to be awakened again......

G'evening John! Whoa, jealousy surely would close doors and shut windows. It's a wasteful energy and actually a scary trait...incoherent and unpredictable. Another wonderful write! I'm sorry I haven't been coming in to comment, and as for writing, I just can't seem to get it together. Been drawing some...oh well... I hope you'll have a grand week, John! Best to you and yours...Love to you, Mikki

Jealousy can cause great pain, John. How wise you are to make "no judgments." That is best left to our Lord. Even through the sadness of this poem, it says much about the mature and compassionate man you are. This poem is like you -- a "priceless pearl"! Love, Carolyn

John, the depths of your soul knows no bounds my dear. This is truely a saddened piece of one of most atrocious acts that people show and feel and it can eat you alive and the ones around you leaving only bitterness in the soul, barren and cold. You have to trust and believe in love if you want it to move forward and which is the message I get in this piece and jealosy prevents that from happening because you are moving backward. The outpouring of your heart here you can feel the frustration

Precious dreams that once were stole? Such sadness...such a heartbreaking tragic ending to something so beautiful and pure. Jealousy... in it's worst possible form, destroying such loveliness as this....quite heartwrenching is this wonderful , but tearful poem.

Romeo and Juliette forbidden love, destroyed by another human,a selfish enemy with many faces, stealing hearts and dreams willing to take the precious pearl in blinding fire- and love--im trying to read between the lines as it seems this poem have a deeper message than the context--any way jealousy can be evil --it is--deep write john--helps me reflect on my soul--john- love charma
