Jealous Mood

Someone in my neighborhood has just published a novel All I have done is sell a story to a homeless people's magazine "Upwards" for which I received twenty dollars Many people write like we do, friends Poetry soup is the best venue for poets in the U.S.A!

I think that everyone wants to be published someday, but we also have something good right here on Poetry Soup. The friendship and bonds that are formed here would probably not come so easily if our poetry were only shared in solitude through books.... This is an expressive write, Matthew, and we all can relate to your frustration. Great work!

Yeah, i think I would be jealous of that guy if I knew him well and he was a schmuck or something. WE even can't help feeling a bit jealous when a peer or a friend has such a success that we also want to have, but we just have to grin and bear it. Maybe one day our ship will come in too!!

hey, Matt. do they even have any drive in's around New York City any more? I think they still have one up in Salt lake but I have not been there for maybe twenty years! those were the good times.

To become a well know accomplished writer takes a lot from you... They inherit deadlines, pressures, the need to always out do the last thing written, publishers, editors telling then what to change and do... Their work loses some thing as it gets great. Because they lose control of so much... I don't envy them at at.
