Jar of Lies
You tell a lie
Store in a jar
The truth within
A dangerous scar
Along with the other
Lies you've spun
Tightening the lid
So they won't see the sun
You put it
In a cushioned box
To avoid it breaking
And place a lock
Days, months, years
Go by
And still the truths
Has yet to fly
You think it's over
No one'll know
Until one day
You become careless so
You drop the box
The lock finds key
The jar becomes diamonds
The truths breaks free
Heads turn
Eyes blames
Mouths drops
All in pain
You try to say sorry
Make right from wrong
But they turn away
And ignore your song.
