JANUARY VALENTINE SKY Through branches bare, into a Winter gray, your face, it changes, like a troubled sky, I see you smile, then see you turn away, into your cloud--I watch as you drift by. An evening sun paints valentines of you some fiery red, some only I can see, but all too soon, they disappear into the cold of night, the Winter grip on me. Would that a valentine live through this night, and long enough to kiss the buds of spring, I'd sell my soul in hopes to make it right, to hear your voice the way 'twas meant to sing, to see your smile the way 'twas meant to see, to touch your hand like it was meant to be. © ron wilson aka vee bdosa the doylestown poet
