Jane Austen

Everyone knows who this famous lady is with her novels of romance for 200 years but it wasn't until a soup contest I found she also wrote poems though none were renown Her novels we know take nations by storm "Pride and Prejudice" "Persuasion" and "Emma" "Sense and Sensibility" along with her notes Jane Austen can always cause a dilemma ======================== When stretched out on one's bed by Jane Austen (excerpt from Jane's poem) Our own bodily pains Ev'ry faculty chains; We can feel on no subject besides. Tis in health and in ease We the power must seize For our friends and our souls to provide. Jane Austen

You know, I had the inspiration for "Lifting Tram Rails in 1940" from a French photo on Facebook. Another in the set of photos is one of old Ford cars parked outside the Louvre. In those days they didn't mind spoiling the entrance to the palace!

No Julia ...You and the others are poets...I am just here for the enjoyment. I commend you on knowing forms and working hard to make certain your poetry is correct. If there is a contest that requires little, I'll be there...and depend upon you to 'tell it like it is'. My favorite of yours is 'Lifting tram rails in 1940'
