Jagged Edges

i see her face it lights up the night she's like a star sparkling so bright i cannot touch her i cannot reach her i cannot save her my chest becomes heavy my soul now broken i try to push it all away in my heart she seems to stay the heartache she has caused pointing out all my flaws i cannot swallow the warm tears slide down my face scarring it with feelings of disgrace the drugs have finally got it all now who will be there when she falls i still pray each night and everyday that this shining star will win this fight miles apart but always holding a smalll piece of my heart i toss and turn when i learn she has set me free i guess that's the way it needs to be
