Thanks very much, yes you did hear this one two years ago but I could not release it to the public for two years for the recording contract wouldn't allow it. Hopefully Andy will do something with this to modernize it, and make it more marketable. Glad to see you on my page, take care. JD

The lyrics hold meaning, emotion. Heart and Soul. Pain and that sweet ache. I love what you have created here. The feelings within. I agree with you, this does need a little more tempo. Other than that, I think it's a very moving song. ~ Brandy

Hi John, I like the lyrics alot and I was wondering how it would do with more beat in it and be a country/pop song, many country songs cross the line but I think it is wonderful!

I know I commented on this one earlier today, In fact I was the first here. I listened and you are exactly right John. His version is too slow and too morbid, for lack of a better term. A broken heart is sad indeed and kind of painful at the time but this need a bit more up tempo to it. The piano is not right for this song, this is a song being sung to the one who has created this situation and it needs to be sung more from the heart. I love the words and the theme but the comp..not so much.

Thanks Chris yeah you're usually the first in commenting, must be a glitch in the system. I was looking for the right word to describe it...morbid...that's it!! I thought it should be re-worked now I'm on it, I have a composer here in Toronto maybe he can do something with it! I really appreciate the honesty, knew I could count on you Chris!!

i love your words, the lyrics are wonderful, i think he is a little too old school country for this song too...i think it would sound better with perhaps a softer voice and a little more upbeat but it's still cool...i just think he didn't do enough justice to the beauty of your words within the lyrics.... thanks for sharing... excellent penning my friend :) hugs

Thanks Sandy, glad you feel the same way. I found a great composer in Toronto who is willing to work with my lyrics so maybe he can update this one. OH btw I just remembered a song of mine which I wrote I think in Feb 2018 called When she dreams, it's very similar to the song I did for you, I think you will enjoy it! Check it out if you can!
