It's Time

It's Time By Franklin Price 1/27/2015 It's time we stood up for ourselves, very well could be too late We the people's lack of interest may have sealed our selfish fates Less than half are taking part in going to the polls The Super Pacs are buying votes and with them all our souls If you have a lack of interest, you're not really helping out If you're not going to the polls, don't complain and ***** and shout About self centered politicians who do nothing once they're there They were elected by the minority and what you've gotten's only fair Stand up and make your voices heard; vote who you've found is best For supporting what you stand for and to hell with all the rest You will find it is not easy to find some truth of note For most will tell you anything to get your important vote Sources for political news are slanted their own way Sort through the things they tell you; could be truth in what they say Many don't report the news, report their own beliefs as fact If someone finds it isn't true, later on they can retract Do research on the internet. you don't have to leave your house. Sift through and you should find the truth; be a lion and not a mouse When you think you've found someone who can help us with this mess Tell all your friends about them, don't back off and don't digress Go to the polls when open and vote who you have found Make sure your friends go also; citizens and duty bound Then watch who is elected; they're representing you and me Make them do the people's bidding; for they are not royalty.
