It's Only Christmas

You send out a thousand Christmas cards and only got two One you got because you accidentally address it to you You wrap a hundred Christmas presents you personally bought for family, friends and coworkers each with a special thought On Christmas day you unwrap your Christmas gifts a few expired gift cards and a used handkerchief Ho Ho Ho, Ho Ho Ho, what are you gonna do It's only Christmas once a year and your becoming a full time Scrooge Ho Ho Ho, Ho Ho Ho, the Grinch you now sympathize Spreading that Christmas joy feels like your own demise. Put up Christmas lights on your home the attention to detail delights is brightly shown Neighbors call the fire department and the police too you get a fine and then the electric bill blues You go to a holiday dinner with a succulent spiral ham pot luck Christmas food is what the menu planned When you get there on the buffet is a string of popcorn and an old moldy fruit cake Ho Ho Ho, Ho Ho Ho, what are you gonna do It's only Christmas once a year and your becoming a full time Scrooge Ho Ho Ho, Ho Ho Ho, the Grinch you now sympathize Spreading that Christmas joy feels like your own demise. So come what will and come what may is still the years biggest holiday Keep your chin up and bow your head to pray, not an ounce of dismay Peace on earth and goodwill to men on this Christmas day It's only Christmas once a year but in your heart it's Christmas everyday. Ho Ho Ho, Ho Ho Ho, laugh it off and spread that Christmas Cheer for it's only Christmas once a year....

Well, Ho, ho, ho, to you, too, Fritz. This is a gleefully delightful read...especially the lines about the Christmas card malfunction.
