It's Not Easy, Baby
It's not easy, baby, when you see the darkness come
Don't think I'm crazy or stupid, I'm just numb
I'll take another strip and wait for the colors to show
It's not easy, baby, when you see your senses go
My eyesight deceives me, I see the trees turn blue
You look at me with your black eyes, as if I knew
Take my hand, baby, don't worry about the red
It doesn't matter anymore, my hand has become dead
I hear the colors come and go
When will their intentions show?
I see my soul, it has turned a deeper gray
My whole world, my night, has turned to day
My time is up, the hours passed
My yellow feet have trespassed
Into the world of normality
Now I must attain formality
Once again
Never again
