It's Food That I Desire
IT'S FOOD THAT I DESIRE
My peckish belly crumbles thunder loud
As I smell yummy Beef Wellington
Oven-fresh serve in silver plate
In my hand a knife and fork
I slice the whole in halves
Scent satiates more
Tempting! Tickling
my white teeth
to bite.
BITE!
I
Slowly
Savor each
and every bite.
Juices spilling fast.
Homing my hungry mouth.
Silencing my mad stomach.
Done and full, I burp not just once.
"Gracias!" I said, appreciating the food.
Wanting to know and try it too someday...
