It Was At Lekki
ENDSARS
It was at Lekki,
we were unanimous,
ENDSARS was our slogan,
the national anthem on our lips,
we made a plea without war,
to profligates in Power,
But at Lekki they shed innocent blood,
to continue their corruption.
It was at Lekki
where they pulled the trigger
men,
armed by the state,
deployed from Bonny camp,
at the orders of a despot,
the tyrannical old guard,
Dead or alive we cannot tell.
But at Lekki they shed innocent blood,
to continue their corruption.
It was at lekki
where we converged
united in purpose,
demanding an end to brutality.
and the long unceasing corruption
for which a nation is stunted.
But at lekki they shed innocent blood,
to continue their corruption.
It was at Lekki
their symbol of oppression,
became more apparent
The dictator wore his old khaki,
after long years of deception.
The Murder of Youth this time,
But at Lekki they shed innocent blood,
to continue their Corruption.
It was at lekki
they cloaked their crime in darkness,
to obscure evidence as they always do.
One more brutality in the dark,
to force the Youths to submission.
Again they shed innocent blood,
to continue their corruption.
