It Shouldn'T Hurt To Be a Child
It shouldn't hurt to be a child,
You can say that to one who has not been hurt.
I was once a prey of a beast I could not chide.
He was so mean with a devilish gut.
Too bad, I couldn't escape him when I was four.
I had no paw, I was just his pawn.
How I wish I could scratch and give the rascal a sore.
Oh I couldn't, for I was just his helpless pawn.
He lured me with a ridiculous mite.
He had his way but gave me a warning,
after he had had a fill of his lustful fit.
I shed no tears but my soul was weeping.
There are still many of such beast around.
who still steal innocence of a child which is impossible to regain.
Shall we watch these devils as their iniquity abound?
as they make many like me go through life with loads of pain.
