It Feels Good
It Feels Good
It feels good to pay the rent
It feels good to pay the bills
It feels good to have some food
To eat ‘til I am filled.
Feels good to walk down streets
Breathe air, to greet the sun
No longer stuck inside
Desk-bound
“It” now feels fun.
It’s so good to leave behind
A life no longer true,
To walk by mission’s light,
The work I’m meant to do.
For a sure a price was paid,
Less cash to hold-in-hand.
But that loss was replaced
With Freedom!
Now I stand
As heart-light warms my face,
Hope-wind blows through my hair,
Remembering why integrity
Is the cloak I choose to wear
