It Was One of Those Mornings
Apprehension had me really nervous
Was I headed for my funeral service
They wheeled me to the operating table
To cut me open and my heart disable
Would this morning be my last sunrise
As tears rolled out the corners of my eyes

I saw my image smiling back at me
Glass window to the baby nursery
My daughter was the cutest of them all
October morning in the early fall
Only a babe I saw her years ahead
More tears of joy, have I ever shed
