"it"

It comes into view from afar , and is really not all that noticeable at first, It has the unique ability to become more beautiful and noticeable the closer it gets. It has no sexual orientation and really can get along famously with anyone who so desires. It is so clairvoyant yet humble and poor it seems, It posseses nothing of it's own. It only has and is what it has been given, Is my very best friend in and for the moment in deed. Why, look at that ! It is now dressed in the finest array, It has a bejeweled crown for a head piece and is loosely belted with a sash of finest linen. Just listen ..it posseses amazing understanding and empathy , Where are my manners, It doesn't ask for much. Let me give it what it needs and such. There! It is so much more beautiful now! IT seems to know me so very WELL ! OH NO! LORD HELP ME NOW ! " IT " .. is my..TEMPTATION !! And straight from HELL !

What a powerful poignant piece you have penned here Robert! Thought provoking and deep. Temptation can be a powerful force...and we all have free will. Some just give in to easy...the devil comes in many guises. We all have to be on the lookout! Thanks so much for sharing and for your taking the time to read my poetry. Many thanks too for your kind comments and words of encouragement! All is very much appreciated! Have a wonderfully blessed day~Mary

Oh, I Went On The Trip of Mystery With You and It Was A Shock of A Climax (And I Love A Good Mystery)... And Yes, Temptation, does look like it is a friend at the time, but bites bitter and hard afterwards, as the worst enemy ... Battles, we all have to fight and win every day ... (but we have a Helper and I can see by your writings, You Know That Already, Robert ... Good Write ... MoonBee

Temptation can truly be an undermining mistress. Great piece Robert. I was on the edge of my seat anticipating IT's identity. Best Wishes Always, Bill
