Is This Our Love Song

If I wrote a love song And sent it on the wind, Would you listen to the words And know they were yours? Would you let them pass by Just a whisper on the breeze Or would you take them to heart And sing me a part? If I came to you Arms open wide, Would you turn and run Or stay by my side For Love is the place There's nowhere to hide. If I cried lonely tears And cast them out as dew, Would you trod through them in morning Knowing they were for you? Would you try to dry them With the heat of your light, Caressing the rosebud with tender rays 'Til petals unfurl as night becomes day If I gave you my lust Tumultuous and deep Would it be worthy to save Raging on the ocean's waves? Would it mean any more Than a passing storm at sea, Or would you wear a raincoat So you don't soak in me? If I came to you Arms open wide, Would you turn and run Or stay by my side? For Love is the place There's nowhere to hide. If I wrote a love song And sent it on the wind, Would you listen to the words And know they were yours (Tune floating in my head from one too many chick flicks)

I don't know this tune, but, for sure, the continuance is what all lovers think about. Love, daver

Women with our little insecurities sing it often when a relationship is new. Thanks for commenting Daver!..Jan

This is indeed lovely, Jan. There's some kind of rhythm that I can follow even as I read it. Must result into an interesting record! There's a contest that used Kevin Kern's Pastel Reflections. Have you tried it?
