Irreplaceable

This is my family, oddities and all. Cam wants to see the world yet currently lives a stones throw away from Mother's call. While bubbly Michelle wears rainbow attire as if to challenge her smile openly shared. My siblings sometimes ice, sometimes fire, but they are apart of me, through and through. Justin smokes like a chimney, drinks like a sailor (and cooler than a glacier, too!). Mom and Dad don't have a thing in common, but thirty-four years states they're a-okay. This is my family, oddities and all, but they are apart of me through and through.

That's family! You gotta love them, cause they'll always love you, it's unconditional. I know how it is, my siblings and my family are so different. I have such a mixed up family, but I love them anyway. They're your flesh and blood! Sometimes it scares me when I catch myself doing things my mom would. I'm like nooooo! Lol

Lol, that is funny! All my siblings take after my mom (I have three), but I'm the oddball that decided to take after my dad.

Wow, you have a lot of kids, Liam! That sounds very hectic, but I also imagine quite rewarding!

To me it sounds like a normal family in which the children want to do their own thing, yet are keen to keep ties intact. You are a(part) of it, and seeing that the family is still in one piece means that the going is not at all bad! // paul

Yup... you got it. All different, but like to keep things intact as well... thanks for your thoughtful comments, my friend!

It is this eclectic family mix that makes our lives so unique - how boring life would be if we were all simply mirror images of our parents and didn't have our own hopes and dreams - sounds like you have a great family life Timothy:-) hugs Jan xx

Thanks Jan! This poem is actually a bit dated. When my brother, Cameron, moved out he moved a couple houses down! LOL. We always would tease him about it... but now he's clear over on the other side of America, in Florida.

Thanks Ilene! Yes... we can't all be copies of each other, and must accept each other's weirdness. I think of myself as the oddball in the family most of the time... oh well... I guess I kinda like it actually.
