INTOLERANCE Intolerance is a not too subtle flavour of disdain That festers within a society blinded by Individualism and Cant To breathe the smog of hatred that surrounds Is to invite within the animosities and wrongs That may never be overcome or tamed The seeds of indifference sown wide Promulgate ignorance Buttressed by the inability to tell right from wrong Worship of lucre And praise from snakes Inflates egos That have no inbuilt brakes Society is condemned Side-lined Traduced Selfishness of thought and action Man’s new truth
