Into the Sunset

The sun wraps her arms around the day Giving one last gift before she slips away Her colored portrait on grand display But night's coming she must gracefully obey We accept her gift with delighted cries A glorious banquet for our tired eyes Fading colors bring forth accepting sighs And she is gone, having said her sweet good-byes 5/9/14

Dear LNC, Absolutely love the way you describe the sun's arms wrapping around day before gracefully slipping away. But have no fear of the fading light. As the song from "Annie," goes: "The sun will come out tomorrow." Congratulations on your win! Love, Carolyn

this is great monorhyming. It is interesting to see how you called the sun a "her" for me it's always King sun, a man!! (the first line is so awesome)
