Into the Blue
We sailed away into the blue.
Bright like the sun, my gladness grew
as azure beauty of the sea
engulfed us with serenity.
Sweet joy it was - to be with you!
We sailed away into the blue.
I wished time never could erase
that loving glow upon your face.
To taste your kisses was sublime,
yet I had known that since the time
we sailed away into the blue,
our precious time would soon be through.
My eyes flew open! It was all
a dream; I faced my bedroom wall
and wept. It never had been true. . .
we sailed away into the blue.
