Internal Interview

Living amid the blurred lines of my reflections Stark cold fears snow me blanket my resolve Nestled my leafless core begging for rebirth Patches of life clumped to the reality of what is what was Soul penetrating every doubt of self worth Raw exposure of glory days forgone Dreams engulf the rapture of greener pastures Revealed in roots embedded firmly in my foundation Seeds flourish branches extend and trunks stand firm

Well, it seems a sincere apology is needed here, I can not believe I have not been to your poetry before now, that is my error. This was fantastic Carol. We strengthen our resolve when we take the time to look inside. Beautifully crafted poem.

Really stellar introspection, second line tripped me up, other than that, the sentiment flourished.

Very strong poem, Carol. Critical self-awareness and introspection. Unwavering in its search for the inner truth. I loved it! It is a favorite (fave) for sure. Love always. RW (Romantic Warrior)

The first line grabs strongly, the rest of the stanza holds firm to that promise. I'm not quite sure what the latter part of the next line is about, seems clumsily repetitive. Just one man's thought. I very much like the final verse also.

interesting descriptions like roots digging in and branches reaching out, extending and reaching in different directions, the growth comes from the reflections within.
