Inside the Bubble

White empty walls, small window, one bed, one chair and a small table. All clean and shining, the smell of medicine in the air. The watchful eye to keep you safe. Safe from your own mind torturing you. The long lonely ours, sleep brought upon by pills. Mind blocked from the outside world, left alone with past memories. Enough time to think, to regret, to plan, to dream. The solitude of sanitized existence, the void filled with drugs. The artificial temporary escape, the chemical calm of the soul. Other tortured souls behind the wall. The ones who lost control, got lost in this world, Some of them know why they are here, others think they don’t belong. All wishing for peace.
