Innocent Flirt
Hope flows like a rising river,
ferrying dreams upon its waves.
And making nervous souls quiver,
it runs toward what the heart craves.
Life's unpredictable scramble
lends itself to heartbreaks and fears.
And love is a high-stakes gamble,
offering happiness or tears.
Betrayal's an intimate hurt,
penetrating both heart and soul.
And even an innocent flirt
often levies a costly toll.
As countless tears of sadness spill,
dreams hide behind a false facade.
And yet, you believe in them still;
though some are grievously flawed.
