Innocent
Today is the day
That he was sentenced
They're giving him five years
To be non-existent
For a crime that he did not commit
But only because he was
Accused of doing the hit
He would never take another human life
Unless it was for protecting his kids or his wife
The judge and the jury did not
Give him a fair chance to plea his case
Because they assumed that he was guilty
Because of his race
It's wrong for people to judge him
Because he is black
That doesn’t mean that he is guilty
Of doing something like that
So now he's sitting in a cell
Praying to god to get him out of hell
He desperately misses his family
And also his he misses his wife
Why won't the judge
Spare this poor man's life?
He’s a good person
That stayed out of trouble
And now he's locked up
Because of his double
See that's where the story gets twisted
And that's why he acting ballistic
Because he shouldn't be sitting in a cell
Feeling like he's going to hell
For a crime that he did not commit
He keeps trying to tell them
That he is innocent
