Inner Child
Separated by space and time,
but you are forever mine.
Sepia sun faded memories shine.
These desperate remnants haunt,
like Marley; and they taunt,
warn, and tease with ease.
I hunt in these tattered impulses.
They fire wild, free and wreckless.
I am a wreck without you,
because of you,
I am.
