Indifference
"Conoform, conform!"
Yelled the words of corporation
"It's no longer accepted to conform"
But that's all they know
Individuality has lost to indifference
Free thought is now defined as 'thought alike'
No great minds or self-definition
When I see one of you
I see all of you
Come one and all
To see what they all see
It's the genres that allow stereotypes
But stereotypes are all too real
The books and their covers are one in the same
Spiralling into standards I fail to claim
"Refuse, refuse!"
Screamed the words of self-righteousness
"They attempt in rebellion but fail to refuse"
But it's they'll know
For gaurdiance and authority won't allow difference
The standards are set forever high
And now they find I will never conform
They fear this free thought
They will never be able to understand its importance
