A monstrosity of misfortune materializes against him. He should've seen it coming. He takes his girl for granted; apologizing and pacifying her with pricey gifts. His fed-up lady looks for love elsewhere; She eventually finds it with another man. his heart hollowed out; dynamited with a deafening bang! Expensive gifts given out of love for her, he demands back. --A gold bracelet for her belated birthday. --A ruby-red promise ring to fuel their fading fire. --The Pomeranian puppy to mark their third year of togetherness. I once went around to my ex and took all my gifts back, what actually surprised me was just how empty his house was after I took everything back, but; it was from giving to much love and never receiving any of it in return, was I bitter; darn right, but hey; the look on his face when he realised I was leaving for good, priceless ; )

This is a fantastic poem and a wonderful trophy win Edward. I taught my son to never ask for anything back. Once you give a gift is given for good. Sadly too many men are like this once they become bitter and the relationship is no longer. Congratulations on your fine award! Blessings xxoo
