In Your Head

A free world of entertainment, Sometimes channels you prefer, Others not, The minute the head touches the pillow, Tv! Switches on, Lifetimes stories, Flashing right before your closed eyes, One negative scene after another, Mostly repeats, Every little detail highlighted, Sometimes in bold letters, Forgotten thoughts appearing, Reminding you! The idiot you were, A magic roundabout of memories, Invading the head, Go away I want to sleep, Count the sheep Yet the brain continues, And the clock ticking, Three A.M in the morning, You’re telling the voices to shut the!!! Ok! Make a coffee, Go to the loo, Start again, Focus on the feet, Meditate, Blank! Blank! Blank! 13/12/2016

I can definitely identify with this well-told piece! And it's no joke when I have to be up for work by 5 am! Love it -it tells my story :-) Pandita

definitely a piece I can relate to. Though I finally after so many years of addiction to the tube, shut it off and left it off in the bedroom It took a while but sleep returned. I felt frustration in this one Wendy.
