In Your Eyes
The wind brushes the earth, a calm breeze enchants the dancing trees
As if they took to life and ran off with me, oh the beauty that I saw was breath-taking
She gave fruit as God commanded, her hair flew in all directions, a season of new life
To see the cycle begin again, and all old was brought forth anew
So many greens, yellows and oranges I saw, a vivid image emerged in my mind
I remember of my past, memories that fill the heart in joy
Some tears still appear, bringing with them lots of fear, errors to relive and weep about
I question my self in part, oh weary troubled heart will you fail me now?
I have come to see myself past the lenght of reason given by God
Immortal? Cursed pleas my soul and I smile to the face of death itself
For I will come to beat her in spirit, let it feast on my flesh that nourishes just as dust
Dust I was, and dust again I shall be
A ugly feeling drowns in my tears of salt, tears that dry only to remind of pain
My sky angers an awful roar that even the ocean splits
My cloud pours on me, cold and bitter I fall to sit and rethink of life
It ends now, but my spirit dwells in the eyes of the Lord
Father I forget about You at times for my mind is only of flesh and blood
But I ask that if I come to forget, you would only keep me in your graace
God I love you, and I leave my all to Your will
I fade into nothing, the golden gates appear and I see Jesus, Amen
