In Vain

Looking back over the vast hills I see the pain, the tears all in vain I see the blood and the hurt cries With every mock laugh I see monetary gain Woe to this country, this facade of glee My respect I have lost, my fate be taken Alas my tears they have brutally foresaken As the last dewdrop surrenders and falls As the sun begins its habitual ascent I look back at the vast hills And remember it all

How sad your heart cries for your country. So often is the case, as change for the good comes so slow too often. I feel your pain, in your beautiful writing, and I am so sorry. Love, Shar
