In the Silence
Breaking through her reserve
She undresses the longing in her eyes
A promise of surrender
She is aware her message has been received
By the knowing smile on his lips
His eyes already claiming her
Disrobing her
Caressing her
Suddenly shy, she lowers her dark lashes
Trying to find safe ground again
But it’s too late
He knows…he KNOWS
He leans in to her to whisper in her hair
To clothe his desire in words
But momentarily is arrested
By the sensual scent that envelopes her, enflaming him
Surprised by the silence, her head turns towards him
A unplanned meeting of lips
Inhibitions and questions….lost in soft exhange
Words never spoken
Yet passion’s eloquence clearly heard
In the silence
