In the Mirror

i sit in silence taking stock of this novel that is my face its ruffled corners and frayed pages written line by line a faded cover aged and worn out in spots old-fashioned dedication to the human race some pages tattered wrinkled some even torn but a worthwhile read perhaps for whomever is willing to take a bit of time to look inside the invitation’s there laying unopened a story behind each tiny wrinkle earned year after year outrunning age age age age age age age age age age age age with charm as well as grace

OUtstanding shape poem, Line. I love, "this novel that is my face". It's hard to see ourselves age, and alas, the mirror tells no lies. But you are right, every wrinkle, scar, or spot has a story. Lucky is the person who finds that willing reader! So glad I saw this - it's a fav ~ John

Can't even imagine how you come up with this kind of 'geniosty,' Line. Bravo... And by the way, yours is the kind of face that shouts CHARACTER! (And I don't mean the daffy kind ether). Thanks, Gershon

Lovely. (makes me also think of the bible, well that first and then)I write novels and stories as well as poems. You lifted my heart with the thought that the stories, are patient, and waiting on the pages... how lovely... You are an excellent poetess, and your lace at the edges is made with intricate details.
