In the Midst of It All
Soon there is a sound
So familiar
But it never reaches
My ears
Soon there is taste
So familiar
But it never reaches
My mouth
Soon there is sight
So familiar
But it never reaches
My eyes
Soon there is a feeling
So familiar
But it never reaches
My heart
Soon there is a friend
So familiar
But they never reach
My home
Soon there is a love
So familiar
But it never reaches
