In the Meadow
You lay me down inside a bed of blooms
so far away from my dark,lonely rooms.
We kiss so sweetly I am swept away
into this meadow where we've come to play.
The scent of grasses wafts to us so strong
as meadowlarks decide to sing their song.
You gently stroke my face in the sunlight
as afternoon begins to turn to night.
This is the time of destiny and passion;
the joy of love is never out of fashion.
Your kiss fills me with bliss as does your touch;
I long to whisper to you just how much.
Now night has drifted into pale moonlight;
it's just the two of us,no one's in sight.
Tomorrow will come soon enough we know;
perhaps we'll journey back to this meadow.
